Taylor Swift Is My Best Friend, and She Doesn’t Even Know I Exist.

Hi, I’m Olivia, and this blog is for the 20-something girls who feel like their life is a mess, but at least we have music to keep us company. More specifically, we have Taylor Swift.

I’ll be real with you—this isn’t one of those perfectly curated, aesthetic, “girlboss” spaces where I pretend to have it all figured out. Because I don’t. I’m 23, I just graduated, I’m living on my own, and I’m working full-time while trying to balance being an actual human. It’s chaotic. It’s confusing. It’s kind of lonely sometimes. (Or it's sad, beautiful and tragic) But that’s why we’re here, right? To be honest about it.

So, let’s start with an honest confession: I lied.

I was a Taylor Swift fan as a kid—Speak Now, Fearless, the whole fairytale, guitar-strumming era. But somewhere along the way, I thought I had to be “cool.” I thought I had to listen to rap, pretend I hated Reputation and Lover, and act like Taylor’s music wasn’t my safe space. I told people those albums were “terrible.”

I was so wrong.

Then Folklore happened. More specifically, This Is Me Trying happened. (Spoiler alert: this was one of my my surprise songs at the eras tour)

Holy. Shit.

That song hit me like a truck. And just like that, it was over for me—I was back in my Taylor Swift era, fully obsessed, never looking back.

And now, here we are.

If you’ve ever felt like your life is spinning in a million directions but somehow, Taylor Swift lyrics always manage to make sense of it all—welcome. You’re in the right place. We’re going to talk about life, music, being in our 20s, and whatever else feels like it needs to be said. No sugarcoating. No fake positivity. Just real, messy, heartfelt conversations.

So, let’s do this. Let’s be unhinged about Taylor Swift. Let’s talk about the songs that broke us and then put us back together. Let’s embrace the chaos of being 20-something.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no matter what phase of life we’re in—Taylor Swift is always there, soundtracking the whole damn thing.

Welcome to the blog. Let’s get started.
