The Art of Adventuring Post-Grad

So, you’ve graduated. The cap’s been tossed, the student ID has officially expired, and suddenly you're staring down the real world…  jobs, bills, responsibilities… and a burning desire to see literally anywhere else

Welcome to the chaotic, exciting, kind-of-broke-but-still-dreaming era of your 20s. If you're anything like me, you're figuring out how to balance a full-time job, a tight budget, and a thirst to explore the world. The good news? You can travel. And you don’t have to quit your job, win the lottery, or become a digital nomad to do it. Let’s talk about how to make travel actually work in this wild new chapter.

Hi, I’m Shannon! Welcome to my blog—where I share how I balance career ambitions with a serious case of wanderlust. I’ve been in the corporate world for nearly a year now, and I’m still learning how to navigate this new lifestyle with my passion for travel. I’ll be sharing all my tips and adventures with you- how to maximize PTO, weekend getaway itineraries, and tricks for traveling on a budget.

My love for travel began as a child, but exploded when I had the opportunity to study abroad in Milan Fall of 2022. While I’ve loved many of the popular tourist destinations I’ve explored, I prefer the more adventurous hidden gems that have yet to be discovered.

Don’t worry- I’ll still share my favorite mainstream spots, but I also want to shine a light on the great locations under the radar—quaint towns, secluded beaches, and breathtaking landscapes that often go unnoticed. My goal is to inspire you to explore the road less traveled, and discover the magic of places that aren’t in every guidebook. If you love adventure, unique cultures, and off-the-beaten-path experiences, you’re in the right place!

This is The Travel Edit—real talk, real trips, and the reality of doing both with a job and a dream. Remember, you don’t have to have it all together to start exploring—you just have to start. Let’s go.
